- Have no children accompanying you on the trip
- Have a current passport
- Have some funds for maintenance while in New Zealand
- Be enrolled in a comprehensive medical insurance program while in New Zealand
- Convince the New Zealand government that your intention is to only stay in New Zealand for a brief visit
